Bucs plan to turn things around

There’s a buzz going around the Tampa bay area about the Bucs that hasn’t been felt in a long time. The addition of new head coach Lovie Smith along with a list of free agent acquisitions, and an updated logo give the team a great vibe.

The Buc’s have tons of talent in Doug Martin, Lavonte David, Gerald Mccoy and other Pro bowl caliber players. Someone just has to put the pieces together and Greg Schiano wasn’t the man to do it. Lovie Smith has the personality and football experience to change the team around and possibly take them to the super bowl sometime in the future.

Most of the struggles of last year’s team came from the offense who finished 30th in the league. Because of this, the Bucs are focusing on offense in this years NFL draft. The team selected wide receiver Mike Evans first round, along with five other players in the other six rounds. Despite Lovie Smith’s defensive reputation, his first draft asa Buccaneer consisted of only offensive players for the first time in franchise history. The team is filled with potential, and with the right coach and newly acquired players the Bucs may have a chance to turn things around.
