As the bright lights of Dad’s Stadium were shut off on Friday, Nov. 13, members of the varsity football team could still be seen sitting on the field. Tears fell as the team’s season ended with a loss to Sarasota Riverview High School in the play-in round of the playoffs.
While the team finished the season 2-6, they still made memories that will last a lifetime.
“My favorite moment was watching one of my great friends Dan Fields come in after Jack Lennon got injured at Alonso,” senior linebacker Brooks Bak said. “He led us to a game winning drive late in the fourth quarter after our defense gave up a touchdown. We ended up winning that game and it was our last win as a team.”

“One of my favorite plays was in the last game when me and Zack, my boy, both came in after Brooks called a check and we got the sack,” senior linebacker Miguel Torres said.
