Annual Met Gala was on May 2 at the Met Museum in New York. As usual, it was attended by A-listers such as Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian and Anna Wintour
On May 2, the annual Met Gala returned to New York City. Hundreds of celebrities walked the iconic red carpet in their intricate outfits. This year’s theme was the Gilded Age.
After watching the livestream hosted by Vogue, which took viewers onto the red carpet virtually, and following along on Instagram, I composed a list of some of the best outfits (in no particular order) of the night.
To begin, Blake Lively looked stunning in her blue and copper dress. The long gown was meant to symbolize the Statue of Liberty to tie with the theme. She wore lengthy copper and blue gloves that went up her arms and added a princess touch to the outfit.

Taylor Hill stunned the gala attendees with her long, royal blue dress. The dress had a long train that had embroidered flowers on the bottom that had pink and purple tones. She tied the outfit together with gold jewelry.

Kim Kardashian amazed everyone in the Marilyn Monroe “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress. The nude and beige-colored dress was decorated with sparkling silver rhinestones. She pulled the look together which dangly silver earrings to match the dresses detailing.

At her first Met Gala, another Kardashian looked fabulous. Khloe wore a long, gold dress that sparkled. The gold detailing dangled from the fabric of her gown. She tied the look together with black gloves and a black cloak.

One of the simpler, yet loved looks was worn by Shawn Mendes. The singer wore a long navy-blue coat with gold buttons and a red lining. The coat had a red collar.

As for next year’s Met Gala, there are already rumors spreading about potential themes. Also, there are rumors spreading regarding outfit restrictions for next year’s gala. Some think that there will be a rule that outfits will have to be approved to be worn on the red carpet.
