Avengers: Age of Ultron premiers on May 1, 2015. Robert Downey Jr. will star as Iron Man and Mark Ruffalo will tar as the Hulk.

Marvel Comics fans can be excited about the announcement of the final release dates for Marvel’s 2015 film releases. Titles include Marvel Studios’, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man,” released May 1 and July 17, respectively. Fox will also release a reboot of the “Fantastic Four” series Aug. 7.

“Age of Ultron” brings together the same lineup of heroes from the first Avengers film, with the additions of twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Aaron Taylor-Johnson (also starring in movies, “Kick-Ass” and “Godzilla”) will take on the role of Quicksilver, and Elizabeth Olsen (also starring in movies, “Godzilla,”and “Oldboy”) playing Scarlet Witch.

Alongside the addition of new heroes, includes the introduction of Ultron (voiced by James Spader) an artificial intelligence made by Tony Stark that becomes self-aware and attacks the Avengers.

As for end of Phase Two in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, Paul Rudd will star as Scott Lang, a con-man who takes up the job of Ant-Man after his mentor Dr. Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) becomes too old to take on the job of shrinking hero. Filmmakers intended to focus on the Hank Pym’s time as Ant-Man, but decided it would not be as family-friendly, as Pym eventually develops multiple personalities and an abusive relationship with his girlfriend in the comics.

Although “Ant-Man” was intended to begin Phase Three, the studio decided it would be better suited as a conclusion to Phase 2, in order to begin with “Captain America: Civil War” in 2016.

On Dec. 4, it was confirmed that “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch would be playing the role of Dr. Stephen Strange in “Doctor Strange,” which he plays a surgeon who learns to be a sorcerer from a mysterious man living in the Himalayas.
