Chorus hosts rehearsals for fall concert
Chorus began rehearsals for their fall concert Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Thursday, Sept. 19 in the chorus room.
Rehearsals ran from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. both days and consisted of intervals to allow time for each chorus class to practice. Sophomore Tess Lowke will be performing at the concert.
“My favorite part is collaborating with my peers and making the music,” Lowke said. “When it all comes together it just kind of makes me smile because it’s a group of people making something really cool.”
The fall concert will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26 in the auditorium, and will include songs ranging from “Greased Lightning” to “I Sing Because I’m Happy,” both selected by chorus director Bruce Yost.
“I’ve been waiting for this; I picked out the music over the summer,” said Yost. “I was really excited to get to introduce it to the students, to have them learn it and enjoy the process of making the music. So to actually see it come to the stage finally, after all these months, is very exciting to me.”
