For the first six years of my life, warm scents of sauerkraut, potato, onion, beets and sausage filled every inch of my kitchen and drifted to every corner of my house Christmas night. While it has been many years since my family and I had a Polish Christmas, the home-made foods and tradition still bind our family and enrich our memories. Below, are some of my family and I’s favorite holiday Polish food, and links to some recipes to replicate the dishes at home.
