Reading her music, junior Ashley Cheung performs with Varsity Chorale. Cheung has participated in for all three years of her high school career.

Chorus classes performed in the annual spring concert Wednesday, April 21.

Students were allotted 2 guests but could request more tickets if they were available. A limited number of people could attend the show, which was performed in the gymdue to COVID-19 restrictions.

“I thought the concert went great,” junior Ashley Cheung said. “I’m glad that we were able to put on a show with a live audience since we couldn’t do that for Rick’s.”

Varsity Chorale, the most advanced group of the chorus, performed songs from the Renaissance and modern pieces. These songs included Cantate Domino, Paper Crane, Alleluia, and Like a River in My Soul.

“My favorite song was Alleluia,” junior Dagney Johnson said. “I personally think it was the hardest song we had to sing, so it felt great to see it all come together and have the band perform with us.”
