This annual event returns back to New York for the twenty third year in a row. Hope you’ll enjoy some entertainment and some influential speeches this year at the festival.

The New Yorker Festival is taking place for the twenty third year in a row on October 7th through 9th in New York City. The three day celebration will feature conversations, performances, screenings, and more, with participants including some of the most fascinating and creative authors, filmmakers, comedians, chefs, and musicians of our time. Subscribers to the New Yorker enjoy exclusive access to the twenty-four-hour ticket presale, which begins at noon on Wednesday, September 7th. Tickets became available to the general public at noon on thursday, September 8th. Subscribers get thirty percent off most tickets during both the presale and general sale.

  • The chefs Lucas Sin and Eric Sze, part of the culinary collective SHY*BOYZCLUB, consider American diner classics through the lens of the Asian culinary diaspora in five courses at Wenwen, in Greenpoint. Hosted by The New Yorker’s Hannah Goldfield and Helen Rosner.
  • The New Yorker’s Naomi Fry hosts a spirited evening of pub trivia, crafted by The New Yorker’s Puzzles & Games Dept., at Fraunces Tavern’s Bissell Room.

And a Sneak Preview:

  • The New York première of “The Banshees of Inisherin,” about a pair of lifelong friends who find themselves at a dead end when one abruptly ends the relationship, with surprising consequences for both. The screening, at the SVA Theatre, will be followed by a conversation between the writer and director, Martin McDonagh, and The New Yorker’s Patrick Radden Keefe.
