Cava; a New Mediterranean Restaurant in Tampa
Taking over the former Zoës Kitchen on South Howard, a new national restaurant opened its doors. Known for its bowls that feature small-batch Mediterranean dips and spreads, Cava made an appearance in Tampa.
CAVA is a growing in popularity Mediterranean culinary brand with a fast-casual restaurant experience featuring customizable & craveable salads, bowls, and pitas.
The restaurant is known as a Washington DC-based chain that has over 200 locations open in 20 states and DC, as well as due to collabs with celebrities such as Emma Chamberlain.
Cava features a food assembly line, similar to Chipotle or Fresh Kitchen, that lets diners customize their meal using an assortment of bases, spreads, proteins, toppings, and dressings. Aside from bowls, they offer pitas and other modernized Greek goods.
Bowls can range from lean Greek salads to more filled ones as the Harissa Avocado Bowl. But while there is a created menu by the restaurant, customers can customize their bowls in accordance to their diet and nutritional preferences. Such too applies for the pitas, as while there is an arranged menu featuring pitas as the Crispy Falafel or Spicy Lamb Meatball, customers can customize the ingredients in them.
To drink, Cava offers house-made seasonal juices and teas, with flavors like Blueberry Lavender, Cucumber Mint Lime, and Strawberry Citrus.
If feeling like grabbing a quick lunch or dinner on the healthier hand, Cava is the choice to go with. With their signature hummus’ and many modernized dips, the restaurant is a growing trend among Gen Z’s.
