Howl-O-Scream vs Halloween Horror Nights
With Halloween approaching, haunted houses are the best place to be during this time of year. However, the two top horror attractions are Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens and Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando. Although both go all out to scare their guests, which one is truly better?
When October comes around, Tampa and Orlando have some of the best haunted houses in the country. The spots for a supreme scare are either Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens in Tampa or Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios in Orlando. But which one is better?
Halloween Horror Nights includes ten haunted houses, five scare zones, and two live shows. Maddie Galuski (10) says, “Halloween Horror Nights is better because it is scarier than Howl-O-Scream.” Universal goes all out to ensure its visitors are terrified when they step inside a scare zone. Some of the themes this year for their haunted houses include Descendants of Destruction, which depicts a post-apocalyptic nightmare, Universal Monsters: Legends Collide, which shows three infamous movie monsters, and John Carpenter’s Halloween, which is based on the classic character Michael Myers.
Jazlyn (9) says, “I think Halloween Horror Nights is better because it is way scarier than Howl O Scream. It is a long drive, but I think it’s worth it because of how much better it is. It is more popular than Howl o Scream and is the better of the two.” Halloween Horror Nights is scarier and has more haunted houses and scare zones than Howl O Scream. Although Busch Gardens is closer, they just don’t do Halloween as well as Universal.
Plant students all agree that Halloween Horror Nights is the better option. It has more haunted houses, scare zones, and frightened guests than Howl-O-Scream. Even though Universal is over double the distance, it is worth the drive to get the best scare in Florida!
