Strawberry Festival Music Lineup
The Florida strawberry festival is an annual event hosted in plant city Florida for the 88th year this March. Started in 1930 by the Plant City Lions Club, it’s a celebration of bountiful strawberry harvests. The festival is known for its rides, strawberry-themed foods, and anticipated music. The 2023 Strawberry festival lineup has been posted, and this year has a lot of big names.
Thursday, March 2, Jimmy Sturr & His Orchestra play at 10:30 a.m. (Free with admission), followed by The Oak Ridge Boys Front Porch Singin’ tour at 3:30 (30$)
That night shows its first big name, Walker Hayes. The country music star has been releasing music since 2011. Tickets are on sale for 40$.
Friday, March 3, features Willie Nelson and Family at 3:30 p.m., tickets selling for 50$, followed by Halestorm.
Saturday, March 4, starts with Sarah Evans at 3:30 p.m.
That night continues with Chris Bridges, AKA Ludacris. The artist has sold over 15 million albums and has charted the billboard hot 100s over 53 times with several hits in the number-one spot. Tickets are 40$.
Sunday, March 5 The Gatlin brothers play at 3:30 p.m. (25$) and Chris Young at 7:30 p.m. (60$)
Monday March 6 Neal McCoy on stage at 3:30 (30$) and Josh Turner at 7:30 (35$)
Tuesday, March 7, Roots and Boots Arron Tippin, Collin Raye and Sammy Kershaw at 3:30 p.m. (35$)

Friday’s evening show features American pop rock band Train, their biggest hits being Drops of Jupiter and Meet Virginia. They play at 7:30 p.m. (50$)

Sunday, March 12th The Leroy Van Dyke Country Gold Tour Featuring Leroy Van Dyke, T.G Sheppard, Mandy Barnett, and T. Graham Brown
The festival ends with possibly their biggest show yet, Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band has performed since the 70s with hit songs such as Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird. They play at 7:30 p.m. (60$)
Senior Emmit Allen says he will be attending the Strawberry Festival.
“One hundred percent, absolutely I am going. I am going to see Lynyrd Skynyrd,” Allen said.
