Meat Market Review

Meat Market is an upscale steakhouse located in the center of Hyde Park. The atmosphere is very classy and requires fancy dress attire while dining at the restaurant.

Located in the center of Hyde Park is an upscale steakhouse called Meat Market. This restaurant is more stylish and requires a dress code for dinner in the main dining room. For example, dress shorts with dress shoes are allowed on the patio outside but not in the dining area.

When I went, we ordered the crab and lobster cake as our appetizer and were given warm sourdough bread with butter as a starter. The crab and lobster cake was delicious and contained only a little breading to preserve the taste of the seafood.

After the appetizer was finished, it did not take long for our food to arrive, and the entrees were served. I ordered the beef sliders consisting of bacon, Leicester cheese, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, and a side of fries. The sliders were delicious and full of flavor. We also ordered large sides that fed multiple people, of lobster mac n’ cheese and gouda tater-tots. Of everything we ordered, my favorite was the lobster mac n’ cheese because of the amount of lobster mixed in with all the cheese and noodles.

The atmosphere of Meat Market is very upscale and classy compared to other meat restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. The restaurant contains a bar where drinks are served for lunch and dinner. Also, an outdoor seating area is located between the street and the sidewalk in the middle of Hyde Park. Dining at these places is more casual than the indoor dining area, serving dinner and opening at 5 p.m.

The restaurant has delicious, one-of-a-kind food not served anywhere else in the Tampa Bay area. I highly recommend trying out Meat Market the next time you go for a fancy dinner.
