Galentine’s Day

Vera Agne
Galentine’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the love season with friends.

Galentine’s Day, the cherished celebration of female friendship, has become a delightful tradition for women around the world. Originating from the popular TV show “Parks and Recreations,” this day is dedicated to honoring the bonds with your gal pals. From brunch gatherings to spa days and movie nights, Galentine’s Day offers a chance to cherish and uplift the remarkable women who make life brighter.

The first step before picking out the themed festivities is picking a date. It’s recommended to pick a date within that week of Valentine’s Day, preferably the weekend before or after. Make sure to confirm with your friends one day that everyone is available, so no one gets left out of this celebration. Here are a few suggestions to inspire you on activities to participate in on this year’s Galantine’s Day

1. Brunch

Start the day off with a fabulous brunch. Gather your gal pals and head to trendy brunch spot or organize a potluck brunch at home. Savor delicious food and share laughter over a table filled with love. Set the mood with festive decorations; think about incorporating a color scheme or theme- whether it’s classic valentines day reds or pinks or something more personalized to your friendship. Fresh flowers, balloons, and themed table settings can add a lovely touch as well. Encourage your friends to dress up according to the chosen theme whether it’s brunch chic, floral dresses, or cozy loungewear having a dress code can add an extra element of fun to the gathering.

2. DIY Spa Day

Treat yourselves to a day of pampering. Set up a DIY spa at home with face masks, manicures, and pedicures. Create a nail station with nail polish, files, buffers, and cuticle tools. Generate a relaxing ambience with scented candles and soothing music. It’s the perfect time to catch up on each other’s lives. Additionally include some comfortable attire, maybe even some customized robes and slippers!

3. Crafts

Tap into your creative sides with a crafting session, whether it’s making personalized cards, scrapbooking, or trying out a new painting technique, spending time crafting can be both therapeutic and enjoyable. Gather all necessary crafting supplies: glue, scissors, beads, fabrics, glitter, canvases, paints, or any other material related to your selected craft. Always make sure there are enough supplies to share among you and your friends.

4. Movie marathon

Plan a movie marathon featuring your favorite films or explore new releases. Whether it’s classic chick flicks, empowering documentaries, or a mix of genres, cuddle up with blankets and snacks for a cozy movie night.
