The movie, Bob Marley: One Love was released February 14, 2024, and I saw the movie the Thursday after it came out. I love all of Bob Marley’s music, so I was ecstatic to see the film. I went to a nighttime show which honestly made the atmosphere better. The movie sequences significant life moments in Marley’s life ranging from his childhood memories to the moment he was diagnosed with cancer at 36. I overall enjoyed the movie; the music was phenomenal and Kingsley Ben-Adir, the actor who plays Bob Marley, enveloped his character incredibly well. The only con about this movie was that it was difficult to follow the dialogue because of the heavy Jamaican accents but if there were subtitles there would be no con. If you enjoy the reggae genre or even Bob Marley’s music, I highly recommend going to see this movie.
