Morgan Wallen is a popular country music singer and one of my favorite artists ever. Wallen was born on May 13, 1993, in Tennessee. Wallen began getting noticed after competing in the sixth season of The Voice after being eliminated he signed with Panacea Records releasing his debut “Stand Alone” in 2015. Wallen’s career skyrocketed, and he now holds multitudes of music awards like the Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards earning throughout the past six years. Morgan Wallen recently came to Tampa, and I unfortunately couldn’t attend the concert, but I wanted to share a few of my favorite albums and songs hoping that I could inspire you to add some songs to your country playlist.
If I Know Me
This album was released in 2018 through Big Loud Records. It was supported by four singles some had guest features with Florida Georgia Line. This album ended up being number one on the country albums chart and top ten for the Billboard 200. My favorites of this album include “Talkin’ Tennessee”, “Up Down”, “Whiskey Glasses”, “Chasin’ You”, and “The Way I Talk”. The best in my opinion are “Talkin’ Tennessee” and “The Way I Talk” just because of how satisfying the songs are to listen to (mostly because of the southern accent).
Dangerous: The Double Album
This second album was released on January 8, 2021, with guest features like Chris Stapleton. This album established a record for holding first place on the Billboard Country Album chart for 97 weeks. This album comes double-sided (hence the title) with two discs. I have a lot of favorites from this album which include the following: “Sand in My Boots”, “Wasted on You”, “Cover Me Up”, “7 Summers”, “More Than My Hometown”, “This Bar”, “Dangerous”, and “Livin’ the Dream”.
One Thing at a Time
This album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 on March 18, 2023. This album has guest features appearing Ernest and Eric Church. My favorite songs from this track include the following: “Last Night”, “Thinkin’ Bout Me”, “Everything I Love”, “Man Made a Bar”, “98’ Braves”, “You Proof”, “Thought You Should Know”, “Wine into Water”, and “Cowgirls”.
Other Songs by Morgan Wallen
Some honorable mentions include “Flower Shops” by Morgan Wallen and Ernest and “Mamaw’s House” by Morgan Wallen and Thomas Rhett.
