With Valentine’s Day ending, the month of love is ending. During this month, many romantic comedies have been watched. So, the question is, what is the best one? In this article, I will go over my top 5 romantic comedies of all time.
1. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is my favorite romantic comedy. It follows a girl named Laura Jean as her sister sends love letters to five different guys she has written over the years. It resulted in a relationship with one of the recipients of those love letters, Peter Kavinsky, and spawned a three-movie franchise. The soundtrack, cinematography, and lovable characters draw me in repeatedly, making it my favorite romantic comedy and movie.
2. 10 Things I Hate About You
10 Things I Hate About You is about a girl named Kat Stratford. Stratford is a secluded tom-boy who does not enjoy the typical high school experience. That is until Joey Donner paid a boy to take her out. Donner wanted to take out Stratford’s sister but was not allowed to until Stratford got her boyfriend. This story has many layers and storylines, which kept me engaged throughout the movie. The combination of the lovable characters makes this movie a must-watch, but one movie is better.
3. She’s the Man
She’s the Man is considered a cult classic by many. The comedy indeed shows in this movie when Viola Hastings replaces her twin brother, Sebastian Hastings, place in a soccer boarding school so he can pursue his career as a musician. To do this, however, Hastings had to become a boy. Through a series of comedic twists and turns, Hastings ended up at school, playing the sort she loved, and met a boy. Even though this movie is more childish than the others on the list, it is very nostalgic for me and brings back many positive memories.
4. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a movie with love, hate, difficulties, and everything needed for the perfect film. It stars journalist Andie Anderson, who is looking for her next story when she stumbles upon the perfect idea based on her friend – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She then found Benjamin Berry to try her experiment on. However, Anderson was also the subject of an experiment. This must-watch movie is adorable and necessary for anyone during the Valentine’s season. Even though it is fantastic, it is far from the best.
5. 27 Dresses
27 Dresses is one of the best romantic comedies of all time. It follows the story of the perpetual bridesmaid, Jane Nichols, who meets a reporter, Kevin Doyle. Doyle follows Nichols to many weddings, and they eventually develop feelings for each other. This movie includes betrayal, love, and comedy, the perfect recipe for any movie I will never stop recommending. However, it is number five because there are far better rom-coms than this one.
