Spring Break always comes at a much-needed time for students to escape their dull classes and run away to the vacation of their dreams. However, the vacation people dream about changes from person to person. One person might like to escape to a winter wonderland filled with skiing and snowmobiling, while someone else might run straight for the beach to feel the warm sand on their feet. Regardless of what someone believes, there are five perfect spots for the Spring Break of your dreams.
5. Home
Even though they made last on this list, home will never be later in my heart. I associate home with comfort, movies, and friends and family. The feeling of watching a movie with popcorn after finishing your homework stress-free is undoubtedly unmatched. However, it is not perfect. Many people want to escape the stress reminder during their Spring Break. Being in my room near my work reminds me of what I need to accomplish instead of relaxing. Due to this, homemade is last on this list.
4. Lakes
Lakes are an underrated luxury. While staying at a lake, you receive the benefits of the beach with the water to boat and swim in while also reaping the benefits of staying at home by having a house as your home base. On top of that, some lakes are close to towns, making it much easier to commute, get groceries, and meet any other needs. However, even with all of these benefits, a lake is far from the best place to visit. There are typically little to no beaches to tan on if you enjoy the sand, and the water is usually murky and not as enjoyable to swim in.
3. Beaches
In my opinion, beaches are everything that lakes are and what lakes are lacking. The ability to feel the feet in my sand and then run out to an endless ocean is a feeling coveted by many. This access to a sprawling sandy terrain with a cascading ocean next to it and the ability to be steps away from a beachy town is the epitome of a perfect vacation. However, this vacation paradise has its own set of flaws. Depending on the weather, your beach day could be destroyed by a simple rain cloud coming into the view of a sunny day. When rain or storms come to the beach, it destroys your chance of a good tan and a happy time. For these reasons, the beach made it to the middle.
2. Mountains
A quick jump from the low altitudes of the beach, lakes, and homes would be to the high altitudes of snowy mountain tops. Skiing down the slopes and getting a hot chocolate afterward is one of my favorite pastimes. Mountains are not restricted to skiing, however. There are often nearby towns that have various amenities such as restaurants, parks, hotels, and anything else vacationers would need to have a good time. Although this trip may not be the best for those who fear heights, it is the perfect vacation for those who enjoy the thrill. However, despite all of these benefits, there is still one better destination.
1. International
The best place to visit during spring break is any international destination. Changing scenery, culture, and food is the best way to escape school’s troubles. My dream spots include Spain, France, Costa Rica, Egypt, and Japan. This change provides the perfect escape from any problems you left behind in America and allows you to enjoy your Spring Break easily. After all of this, it is easy to conclude that anywhere out of America is the best place to be.
