Students get ideas for Prom

  • Cookie cake: Places that sell cookie cakes, such as the Great American Cookie Company in International Mall, will write anything on a cookie cake. Writing out “Will you go to prom with me, [name]?” on a cookie cake in the recipient’s favorite color frosting will be sure to make them happy and hungry! If you can’t get to the mall, grocery stores such as Publix are often more convenient and can make cakes with writing on them as well.
  • Candles: This classic promposal may not be the most unique, but it is a pretty and special option for sure. It may take some time and planning, but with enough candles to write out “PROM?” in her front yard, a lighter and enough time to set it up this will ensure a snapchat-worthy promposal.
  • Inside Joke: For people that know each other well, using an inside joke between the two of them is a great option for the asker. This makes the promposal more personal than other options and is generally easy depending on how far the asker wants to go with his/her idea.
  • Get a Group: Especially for someone who’s a little nervous about asking, this option is great. They can get friends to help them hold signs, give the person notes throughout the day or just be there for moral support. This makes the event much more fun for everyone and there’s not as much pressure on the asker or the person being asked.
  • Use Their Car: This is a way to ensure the person will be there and there’s many of unique ways to use a car for a promposal. Sticky notes or window paint are both classic and fun ideas, but almost any ideas can be incorporated into using the person’s car. If the person loves a certain food or drink surprising them with this treat and a cute pun to accompany it will be sure to make them smile.
