At 6 p.m. promptly, the guidance counselors began the 2016 Senior Night in the Auditorium. Students received information about how to apply to college, what they need for applications, and had the ability to attend sessions on topics of their choice.

In one session about college essay writing, Bob Levine, a private college counselor, spoke on the importance of making your college essay include your story and who you are but also who you will be in the future.

In another session, the guidance counselors taught students and parents how to navigate Family Connection, a website dedicated to helping students obtain new information about colleges of their interests but also helping them to find scholarships.

They also had representatives from the Air Force, technical schools, and HCC available to students.
