Easy ways to be healthy

1) Go to a Workout Class! Being in a class will push you to do the full workout, or more than what would’ve done without the presence of others.

2) Have a workout buddy! Make working out fun by going with a friend. The time you end up dedicating to the exercise will feel less like a workout and more like a social gathering.

3) Cut down on the take out! You don’t know for sure what restaurants cook with, so it is better safe than sorry. Try spending some time learning how to cook simple healthy recipes. By cooking at home, or learning how to, you will know exactly what is going into your body.

4) Bayshore in the Morning! What is better than watching the sunrise? A morning run, if you don’t mind getting up at 6:00 AM, will wake up your body and get you in a mindset ready for the day. Trust me, if you haven’t tried this it is a definite must! You end up avoiding the heat and most people. So feel free to go at your own pace.

5) Eat a breakfast! If you don’t already eat breakfast then start. Neglecting to eat breakfast can temp you to snack on unhealthy alternative throughout the day.

6) Try some Yoga! Relax and try some yoga. Incorporating yoga into a daily routine will overtime improve muscles, increase flexibility, which in turn will help prevent injury in workouts.

7) Don’t Try to look a Certain Way! Working out and eating right is not about getting to an ideal size, it is about health. People come in all shapes and sizes. So what may be healthy for one is not for another. Focus on health and not size.

8) Don’t Stress Eat! Instead on binging on the tortilla chips and salsa try going out for a run. Exercise releases stress hormones whereas eating out of stress will only cause you to feel uncomfortable.

9) Sleep! Use your time wisely and get that beauty sleep. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health Website, “Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right time can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety.”

10) Get Some Sunshine! We live in Florida… You do not need to be indoors all day.
