Student creates jewelry line

Goodale explains that her grandparents are the ones who got her hooked onto fashion.

“I’ve always loved fashion since I was a little kid. My grandparents is what really started it. My grandpa taught me the ins and outs of the fashion world, what to wear and how to wear it. My grandma taught me that all a women ever needs is an accessory (jewelry) and lipstick to stand out. So fashion became my passion,” said Goodale.

Since she was so into fashion, Goodale thought that she could incorporate her love into an easy way to make money, so she decided to start her jewelry line.

“I’ve always wanted to design clothing, but this year I began making my jewelry as a way to make money and then I fell absolutely in love with it. I definitely want to do something involving the fashion industry, whether it be a designer or on the business side. But I can definitely see myself doing this in the future,” said Goodale.

The real meaning behind Goodale’s line comes from her heart and means something special to her. She wants people to know that her line is about acceptance and standing out of the crowd, yet she feels like that is difficult for students in high school to understand this because of the social standards of popularity.

“Seeing other people in my inspirations is what makes me happy the most. I definitely wanted it to be centered around showing you and what you’re made of, because everyone is beautiful and unique, but might just be too afraid to show it,” explains Goodale.

Beaded Hippie jewelry includes beaded bracelets, necklaces (long and choker),  anklets, chain necklaces, and bracelets. Prices range from $12-$25.

“The time it takes me to make the product just depends on the order. I make it all myself-  some take an hour some take twenty minutes,” said Goodale.

To publicise her business, Goodale created an Instagram for the company then spread the idea to her  friends. Recently, she started ambassadors for that to spread the word as well.

“Anyone can do it! I have a monthly package of jewelry they wear and they just post it on Instagram or any social media, tell friends and if they recommend  three customers they can get a piece for free,” explains Goodale.
