President-elect Trump brings excitement to America

Donald Trump speaks at a Rally.

With Donald J. Trump now becoming President-Elect of the United States of America, there has been a mixed reaction to the outcome. I believe that President-elect Trump will bring a breath of fresh air to the U.S. along with a sense of excitement for change in the future.

One thing to mention is that Trump beat his opposition and Democratic Nominee, Hillary Clinton, with the electoral college votes leaning heavily in his favor (306-232.)

The one area that made Trump an interesting candidate was the promise of change in America. Democrats always bring up the notion that President Obama helped the country in many different ways. This is not the case and would have continued under Hillary Clinton, as she would have followed in the footsteps of Obama, which wasn’t the greatest Presidency.

According to USDJOB.Gov, there have been a negative affect with President Obama in office. In 2008, the amount of full time workers was 118 million, 65.9% workforce participation, 67.5% of Americans owned a house, the median income was $53,644, the percentage of poverty was 13.3%, the amount of people of food stamps was 28.2 million, and the debt-to-GDP was 64.8%. After the Presidency of Obama, the amount of full time workers is 117 million (1 million decrease), the work force participation dropped to 62.8%, home ownership decreased to 65%, median income dropped to $51,017, the percentage of poverty increased to 15%, the amount of people on food stamps increased dramatically as it rose to 47.6 million, and the debt-to-GDP rose to 101.6%.

President-elect Trump has come out and said that he wants to change America from the previous days of Obama, so the aforementioned statistics will in all likelihood change and help America.

Another positive about President-elect Trump is that since his election there has been massive support for him from other world leaders. Russia and Syria have publicly announced that they want peace with the U.S. Also, Israel’s Prime Minister has come out and said he wants to repair the relationship between Israel and the U.S. Another thing to consider is that Canada and Mexico have stated that they are open to renegotiation of NAFTA with the U.S..

With all of these world leaders willing to work with the U.S. since Donald Trump has became President-elect, it is clear that he was better viewed upon by other world leaders compared to his predecessor and Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton.  This is a good thing because media outlets were constantly influencing Americans to believe that nobody would want to work with Trump.
