Lightning McQueen has been through a lot of troubles. In his first movie, he got lost and had to find his way back to the race in time for the Piston Cup. In his second blockbuster, he was competing in the World Grand Prix, and he had to get his friend Mater back, after being rude to him and telling him to leave. After seeing the trailer for Cars 3, people everywhere are nervous for their idol, Lightning McQueen, as he gets in a terrible accident.

So far, from the 50 second trailer, not much has been learned. One major thing shown off is a devastating wreck for McQueen. At one point in the trailer, it shows a black car moving up quickly, showing it as the main focus of the scene. This could be the newest antagonist in the series, after Chick Hicks from the first movie and Francesco Bernoulli in the second one.

The main focus of this trailer is the wreck on McQueen, as it takes up around half of the trailer. This will more than likely make the plot for the film, which would be his comeback to racing.

This is similar to Doc Hudson from the first movie, who was completely forgotten when he had a terrible crash during one of his races, after winning the Piston Cup a few times. This could be something similar, but McQueen would be making his comeback, unlike Doc had the chance to do.

This movie could either be very good or very bad, but there is not enough information known yet to decide what the plot truly is, and if it will live up to the standards that has been set for it, as the trailer has broken 20,000,000 views on YouTube in under 20 days.
