Students brainstorm New Years’ Resolutions

Being only a few days into January, many people are still formulating and brainstorming their resolutions for the new year. Many people choose their resolution based on something that caused problems for them from the previous year or something serious they want to improve upon.

“I want to be less stressed out this year,” senior, Sami Jacobsen, said.

Other resolutions were about eating healthy and living a healthier lifestyle.

“I want to continue my vegan lifestyle,” junior, Alex McDermott, said.

According to Wonderopolis.org, many people pick their resolutions based on their family and friends past resolutions, they reflect on the previous year, or they make their resolutions based on their goals for the year.

“I want to make new friends in my classes this semester,” senior, Willy Widoff, said.

Many resolutions reflect students desire to earn good grades in school.

“My resolution is to do my school work and be responsible,” senior, Anthony Kaptzan, said.

Junior, Scotty Rogers also said that his resolution was to make better grades.

However, some students don’t believe in resolution making activities at the start of a new year.

“I believe in constantly improving myself and not just making new resolutions at the start of the year,” senior, Lauren Watson, said.
