We all have those people within our life’s that we love for many reasons. Valentines Days is about celebrating this and showing those special people how much you care about them.

Of course on birthdays, or holidays such as Mothers Day or Fathers Day you can show a person that you care about them. But Valentines Day is completely devoted to doing this.

You can celebrate all the people you love on one day, instead of multiple days throughout the year. Making it easier to plan activities and buy gifts.

Valentines Day is even a holiday kids can participate in. We all remember making and exchanging candy-grams in elementary school and writing notes for friends and crushes.

This day of love is a great excuse to slow down the fast pace of life and focus on who truly matters in your life.

So although Valentines Day may be commercialized and artificial, it’s a great opportunity to tell someone “I love you” and snack on some sweets.

Overall, Valentines Day is an American tradition, and should be celebrated as much as any other holiday.
