How to get ready faster

1) Pick out your outfit the night before- Picking your outfit out the night before not only saves time, but also provides the chance to assemble a nice outfit rather than the last minute decision people typically make.

2) Pre-make your lunch/ meal prep- You never want to skip out on preparing a nutritious meal. However in the morning it may seem difficult to make a meal when you are focused on getting out the door. Instead try making you meals the night before. Even better, try meal prepping. Just make a big batch of one recipe and set it aside for your lunch throughout the week.

3) Set your alarm for earlier than when you want to get up- Every one knows that you don’t actually get out of your bed right when you hear your alarm clock. Instead set it 5 minutes earlier, or more depending on the person. That way when the alarm clock sounds the body has time to adjust to the day. Or if you check your phone in the morning, then schedule time for that too.

4) Have your backpack ready for the next day when you go to bed- We all know what it feels like when you realize you forgot your homework at home. To avoid this problem make sure to pack your bag the night before. It is much faster to grab your bag and head out the door then it is to scramble making sure you have all the necessary items.

5) Use sticky notes and reminders- If you have an important piece of information that you need to remember, try placing a sticky note with the reminder in a place you will see and read. Examples of places your sticky notes could go is your bedroom door, the mirror, next to your phone. Another trick is to place a reminder in your phone.

In the end getting ready swiftly relies on the individual. Doing everything you can the night before will decrease the time it takes in the morning. However the individual must be mindful of the time. Start by waking up early and slowly decrease the time you wake up everyday. Doing so helps to adjust to the new schedule.
