Harry Styles releases successful launch to solo career
Former boybander Harry Styles has a released a new single titled “Sign of the Times” and consequently signaled a very strong start to his solo career.
The single is a heartfelt five minutes and 41 seconds, with excellent instrumentals and a matching high caliber of vocals by Styles. It surpassed many already high set expectations on what the 23 year old was capable of, without bandmates.
Styles’ release contrasts his One Direction days in both style of music, featuring a more indie vibe, and publicity of release. There was not as big of a social media swarm in time with the release, but the impending music video could change that status.
In comparison to Styles’ former bandmates’ singles, including Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, Styles’ easily takes the prize of best release.
“Sign of the Times” has comparably more heart, while also portraying styles’ many talents on the grounds of both song writing and vocals. The ballad also appears to have great opportunity for stage performance.
The classic move from boybander to solo artist can most definitely be a tricky one, but Styles has just created a platform for a successful solo career; granted that the rest of Styles’ album matches or surpasses the caliber of “Sign of the Times”.
This new career path the former One Direction member has begun is comparable to that of the successful former NSYNC member, Justin Timberlake. Such a status is granted both on Styles vocal talents and budding acting career. Styles has his debut acting role in the movie, “Dunkirk”, set to premiere this July.
Styles has officially planted the seed for an impressive continuation of his Hollywood career, the singer just needs to be sure to not lose any of the quality included in this first signal. First up would be the quality of the music video for “Sign of the Times”, which has been filmed, but has no set release date.
