Orlando City SC crushing Major League Soccer

Under Coach Jason Kreis, Orlando City SC has been doing outstanding in Major League Soccer. This comes two seasons after the team first entered the league.

The reason for their success is in large part due to the offseason acquisitions the team made.

During the winter, the team went out and acquired defenders Danny Toia, US international Jonathan Spector, Scott Sutter and Victor “PC” Giro. With that, the team also acquired midfielders Giles Barnes, Luis Gil and Will Johnson, all of whom have plenty of experience in MLS.

All of these players, along with holdovers from last season such as Kaka, Cyle Larin, Carlos Rivas, Joe Bendik and Antonio Nocerino, have helped Orlando get to the top of the Eastern Conference Table.

The player that has had the most impact on the team is Cyler Larin, as he has done very well for the team since entering the league, winning rookie of the year. Along with that, Larin is always among the transfer rumors, a good sign that he his performing very well.

So far, the Lions have been quite impressive to start the season, as they had lost their captain, Kaka, a former Ballon d’Or winner and a World Cup victor in 2002, for the first six and three-fourths games of the season. Along with that, the Lions’ defense has been impeccable, only allowing five goals to start the season. Also, they has won all five of their home games, which is a good feat in itself, as MLS is a league of parity, so a home victory is by no means a guaranteed thing.

Should the Lions remain healthy, they are a team to be reckoned with. The balance of good offensive and defensive play by the team has caused them to play very well with each other. With the unstoppable Cyle Larin spearheading the attack, along with the sturdy defense, this could be a magical year for the Lions.
