Throughout the many popular genres of music, there have been many successful bands that produced many popular songs, as well as many small bands with one hit wonders.
Some popular bands that produced incredible songs back to back were Guns N’ Roses and Led Zeppelin. Some examples of small bands with popular songs would be the Eagles, with Hotel California, and Kansas, with Carry on Wayward Son.
Among this genre of music came some of the greatest hit songs of all times, from a variety of bands.
10. More Than a Feeling, by Boston, is a song that includes incredible vocals and a very well written guitar solo, in an incredible tone. This song is vastly recognized by most people due to its popularity.
9. Back in Black was AC/DC’s most popular song, beating some of their other popular songs, such as Highway to Hell. Back in Black is a very catchy song with a very well-known chorus, as well as a well written guitar solo, and a highly recognizable guitar riff.
8. Sweet Home Alabama, by LynyrdSkynyrd, is the perfect blend of country music and rock. The song is very popular, to this day, and is Lynyrd Skynyrd’s most recognizable song. Sweet Home Alabama’s mixture of rock and country makes it very popular among multiple song groups, allowing for a large amount of people to enjoy it.
7. Nothing Else Matters, by Metallica, is a very distinguishable and versatile song. It is one of their most popular songs, and is very different from Metallica’s normal playstyle, as the song is slow and calm, compared to their mostly chaotic and loud songs.

The song is extremely versatile, opening with an acoustic guitar and slow singing, then shifting to an electric guitar and loud and fast paced singing. This song blew up when it was produced and still is one of the most popular songs of all time.
1. Hotel California, by the Eagles, is hands down the best song ever written. The song is their most popular song by far, as they were a rather unknown band besides this song. The song features three guitarists, and all three are incredible, with an incredible intro played on an acoustic guitar, and an even better guitar solo finishing the song. Between the two guitar parts is one of the most well written songs ever, with an incredible story being told, and sang flawlessly.
Rock is a very versatile type of music, and should be listened to with care, otherwise one will be sucked into it and never released from the addiction of rock.

Hotel California is very overrated, I think.
