Seniors participate in scavenger hunt
The senior scavenger hunt was Saturday, Aug. 18, where teams of up to seven girls competed to complete a list of 48 different activities.
“There were so many people there, and the things they had us do were so funny,” said senior Sarah Johnson.
Seniors started the hunt in the morning on Davis Island and the event lasted all day.
“It was a lot of fun and a great way to start this year off,” senior Brooke Belmont said. “This was a chance for me and my friends to do a fun school activity and make friends at the beginning of the year. I would definitely recommend that all seniors participate in it. It is a good way to meet new people at the start of the school year.”
In total, about seventy seniors participated with ten teams.
“The senior scavenger hunt is a fun event for the students organized by the senior class officers,” senior sponsor Heather Wakefield, said.
In the end, senior Khami Shah’s group won.
“It was a great way to spend time with all of my friends and see how well we worked together against competitors,” senior Khami Shah said.
The activities for the scavenger hunt took the teams all around South Tampa.
“At the senior scavenger hunt, the most fun part wasn’t really looking for things, it was actually doing them,” said senior Galyn Zacharias. “It all happened so fast that it was all a blur.”
The teams met up again in the afternoon to compare which team had completed the most activities.
“The Senior Scavenger Hunt was a great start to my senior year,” senior Annalise Barksdale said. “I had so much fun and made many memories with my friends!”
