Charlie Puth screams the lyrics to the eighth song in his Voicenotes album, “BOY,” which addresses his struggle in the music community facing judgement for his young age. On Friday, August 31 at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Charlie Puth performed his Voicenotes album in front of a crowd of 20,000 people as part of the 2018 Honda Civic Tour.

Charlie Puth brought his “Voicenotes” album tour to Tampa at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre as part of the 2018 Honda Civic Tour Aug. 31.

According to Billboard Music, “Voicenotes” is his most popular album yet and peaked at the No. 2 spot on Top Albums as well as the No. 5 spot on Top 100. About 20,000 people filled the stands in Tampa at the amphitheater.

Charlie Puth is a well-known pop singer and songwriter. As he is 26, this is only his second big album to be released. He began to gain fame in 2015 with the single “See You Again” which he co-wrote and co-produced with Wiz Khalifa as part of the “Furious 7” soundtrack.

Opening for him at the concert was Hailee Steinfeld. She started the concert off on a good note by pumping up the crowd with some of her most well-known songs, such as “Most Girls,” “Starving,” “Love Myself” and “Flashlight.”

Charlie Puth performed 16 songs, 13 of which were from his “Voicenotes” album. He began with the album’s fifth single, “The Way I Am,” and sang all of the songs from the album along with some of his other most famous works.

Not only a singer, Charlie Puth also plays the keyboard and graduated from Berklee College of Music, which he attended on a full scholarship. In fact, at the concert, he played the keyboard while singing for many of his songs.

Charlie Puth is a solo artist, songwriter and record producer. At his concert, the flashing lights, colorful lasers and smoke made the concert more exciting.

He interacted with the audience a lot, and at one point even threw his shirt into the crowd. He paused between songs to tell short stories about his inspiration for songwriting and reached out and talked to the audience, pumping up the crowd.

At the end of the concert, he said to the audience, “I’ll see you again,” and walked off stage with a wave. However, the crowd kept cheering and screaming, and he came back onstage for an encore. He sang “See You Again,” which was an appropriate ending considering that was how his career started.
