Halloween-goers seek entertainment-inspired costumes

Among many Halloween costumes this year, Archie Andrews from the TV show “Riverdale” is displayed at a local store. Other Halloween costumes that were available include those of a classic genre such as a vampire and one from “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” on Netflix, whose main character is Lara Jean.

Halloween-goers Seek Entertainment-inspired Costumes As Halloween approaches, it is time to pick a costume worthy of a party. There are traditional costumes to choose from such as a cat, witch and vampire to name a few. Although why choose a costume that is extremely generic when there are many unique costume ideas out there to decide on?

First, keep in mind while costume shopping that there are various forms of Halloween costumes that can be scary, comical, cute, heroic, etc.

The costume ideas that will impress at Halloween parties are dressing from popular movies and TV shows. The TV show characters that people will imitate on Halloween night are Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz from “Riverdale”.

These characters are easy and affordable to recreate because most of the items can be found from clothes that are already owned in closets at home. To resemble Veronica Lodge wear pearls with a burgundy chic sweater along with skirt and tights. For accessories she always has a handbag on her arm to carry her essentials.

Heels are ideal to wear for completing the look, but for those who feel heels are uncomfortable, an easy switch can me be made: flats embellished with intricate details such as pearls and bows.

Betty Cooper has the girl-next-door type of style. To look like Betty Cooper, wear a pastel colored sweater with a peter pan collar and wear jeans. Put hair in a ponytail to be the mirror image of the character.

Cheryl Blossom is known for her fiery red apparel selections. She wears sweaters along with skirts. Blossom is never seen without her red lipstick.

Toni Topaz has the biker chick type of style. To channel her appearance, wear a leather jacket with dark ripped jeans and snake jewelry to symbolize the Southside Serpents. For hair, put pink highlights in it.

Another Halloween costume is inspired by the main character Lara Jean from the popular Netflix original “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” Clothing items that she has worn in the movie are an overall dress, cardigans, collared shirts, skirts, pink bomber jacket and flannel.

For those who are obsessed with Disney, then any character from “The Incredibles” is a perfect choice to wear for Halloween. This costume can be made at home by using felt cut into the Incredibles logo on a red shirt and wear black shorts. Also wear a black mask, because what’s a superhero without their mask?

These costume ideas will turn heads at Halloween parties and are Instagram worthy.
