Mark your calendars! The Grammy music awards are returning this year on April 3. The event will be hosted in Las Vegas at the MCM Grand Garden Arena. This is unique from previous years, as the award ceremony is typically held in Los Angeles.

Last year, the show was far from normal due to the pandemic, but the host, Trevor Noah, made it extraordinary. He will be returning as the host in April for this year’s show.

The recording academy has released its COVID-19 protocols that will be in place before, during and after the event. They are strict but will help keep the event safe while having some normalcy.

As far as categories, the list seems to be never-ending. The general field category breaks down the most common and recognized. The awards of this category include the record of the year, the album of the year, the song of the year and the best new artist awards. Some other categories include pop, dance, contemporary, rock, alternative, R&B, rap, country, new age, jazz, gospel, Latin, roots and so many more.

Some of the most recognized nominees this year are Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Billie Eilish.

Until the big night, fans will wait eagerly to see how the awards play out. Below is a playlist of the nominated songs.
