The Plant High School Swim Team competed against Sickles and Freedom on September 8. The second meet of the season began at 6:00 p.m. and started with the 200-medley relay.

“I swam in the 200 free relay, the 50 free, and the 400 relay” Senior Hyatt Crizer said. “It was a good meet and my favorite was the 50 free”.

The meet lasted around two hours, with the 500-freestyle event in the middle. Senior Joao Lapegesse, whose signature event is the 500, participated and won the event.

“The team spirit and the event were exciting” Sophomore Mariana Lapegesse said.

The last event, the 400-freestyle relay was the last event of the meet. Junior Sander Izzi was the last leg for the Plant Boys Team. The event was neck and neck for most of the 400. Izzi was the last leg for the Plant Boys Team and won it by milliseconds.

“It was a good race, but I was very worn out after sprinting it” Izzi said. “I also swam the 200 IM and 200 Free Relay, but the 400 was the best”.

Both teams, Girls, and Boys, won over Sickles and Freedom.
