With homecoming approaching in December, corsages and bouttieners must be ordered, transportation arranged, and dinner reserved. A school tradition that has evolved into a few months of planning surely has become a time of stress for a night full of memories.
In order to make the preparations easier, I am providing a few of the best, and less popular, restaurants for homecoming dinners. These restaurants either have great bigger party arrangements, beautiful scenery for pictures, or reasonably priced meals for a teenager budget.
It is important to make sure that reservations are arranged as soon as possible, in order to ensure a guaranteed bigger party dinner.
- Casa Santo Stefano- Great for pictures and Housemade Italian Food
I absolutely love this restaurant- I had my senior Jesuit Homecoming dinner here. We took pictures in the garden outside and on the rooftop, and the Ybor charm really reflected. Because it is a less popular option for homecoming dinner, reservations might be easier. Focusing on Italian cuisine, they make in-house pastas, and pizzas, as well as having specialty seafood and red meats, surely finding something for everyone.
- 717 South- Accommodation for Bigger Parties
When my friends booked 717 South for my junior prom, I was rather skeptical, as this wasn’t such a talked about restaurant. However, the whole experience was great. There are a few private rooms that make the experience easier. The food ranged from Italian to American cuisine, surely leaving something for everyone. Pictures, however, couldn’t really be taken at this restaurant.
- Edition Tampa- Great for Pictures and Bigger Party Accommodations
The Edition Tampa is such a beautiful hotel having many restaurants to choose from. Surely, being on the pricier side, this might not be an option for everyone, especially because of the location. However, if it is an option, this is a great place, as one can take pictures, but also seat bigger groups. The only downside is surely the prices are not apt for teenagers.
- Ulele- Great for Pictures and Bigger Party Accommodations
Here is where I had my junior Jesuit prom dinner. It is a beautiful restaurant focusing on food with Tampa ancestry. Also, centered in Armature Works, it is a great place for pictures.
- Oak & Ola- Great for Pictures and Bigger Party Accommodations
Oak & Ola, also centered in Armature Works, is a less popular place. However, the food is great, especially the housemade pizzas. They have bigger party accommodations, due to being spacious.
- The Tampa Bay Yacht Club- Great for Pictures and Bigger Party Accommodations
The Tampa Bay Yacht Club, a popular place to take pictures before school dances, is also a place to eat dinner. Accommodating bigger parties, this is an ideal spot. The only downside being that one person in your group must be a member of the club for entrance.
