Cinnaholic, a gourmet cinnamon roll bakery recently opened in Tampa, Florida. Their products are made 100% plant based, dairy and lactose free as well as cholesterol free.

Cinnaholic is a bakery known for its gourmet cinnamon rolls. They offer a variety of flavors and toppings, allowing customers to customize their own sweet creations. The company gained popularity for its vegan options and the ability for customers to choose from a wide range of frosting and topping combinations. I personally love sweets; naturally, when I heard this bakery was opening up in Tampa, I wanted to give it a try.

When I walked in the staff was super friendly and optimistic even at the time of night I went. The bakery was clean; however, it held a sterile feeling and when I walk into a bakery, I tend to expect flour and some little bits of messes therefore creating a homemade environment, but it just reminded me of a factory. I picked up their make-your-own dough and headed back to my house. I baked them in the oven specific to the directions. The make-your-own dough was super small which was unexpected. The frosting that came with them tasted like cupcake frosting, not your standard frosting which also was off-putting. The texture of the dough was a bit gritty and not as soft as a basic cinnamon roll. Sadly, they were flavorless and dry without the frosting which I particularly didn’t enjoy.

I like the concept of the bakery, it’s unfortunate that it didn’t meet my expectations. I’m my own person so you might have a different opinion because we all have different tastebuds. It also could have been what I got, as I got something simple. On the other hand, these cinnamon rolls were basic but still didn’t have the flavor of a basic cinnamon roll. I shouldn’t have to add a million varieties toppings and frosting flavors for the cinnamon roll to taste appealing.

I only tried the cinnamon rolls to get a feel for the name of the bakery. They did have other products like cookies and other bakery products. I didn’t get the chance to taste those but some other time maybe I will.

In the end, I would rate this a five out of ten experience as it wasn’t anything to rave about. I don’t think I would go there again just because the price doesn’t match the taste.
