While wrapping gifts for the “Planting the Seed” event, senior Kristi Stari, president of Astronomy club, shares laughs with other board members. “I enjoy being president because it allows me to build on my leadership skills, basically what I do is figure out the best dates for club meetings with Mrs. Mcdannold and make executive decisions on what the club is going to be involved with.” Stari said.

Clubs met Wednesday, Nov. 30 to discuss future service projects, as well as the ‘Planting the Seed’ event preparation for next Thursday, Dec. 8 at Lowry Park Zoo. Boards of the clubs are assigned multiple under-privileged families to buy gifts for to celebrate during the holiday season. Together, all members of the clubs donate money to help pay for the presents.
