Beauty and the Beast remake impresses audiences

As the 25th anniversary of The Beauty and the Beast approaches, Disney has yet again impressed audiences with its recent adaptation. The new version not only meets expectations, but exceeds them.

Disney princess movies are popular among both kids and adults, and this live adaption is no different. No matter what age, this movie will draw viewers in and keep them entertained for the duration of the two hour and nine minute film. This may seem long, but the way the movie flows makes it seem like no time at all.

The most impressive aspect of the film was by far the acting. Belle was played by Emma Watson, who fit the roll perfectly. Watson is the epitome of brains and beauty, which made her the perfect fit for the character Belle. Luke Evans is also the perfect choice for the character Gaston. Gaston is the manliest person in the village, and Evans with his deep voice and bulky look pulled off the character superbly.

The film also included amazing props. Every scene made it seem like the characters were dropped into a French village in the 1800s. Everything from the costumes, to the houses, to even the activities the characters were participating in fit the time era perfectly.

To continue, the animation in the film is superior, and could agreeably be considered Disney’s best work yet. The way the filmmakers designed the inanimate objects to move and talk, created a realistic gigantic castle and develop the beast in a realistic way makes every scene in the movie believable.

Surprisingly this newer version of the film follows the plot of the cartoon version almost exactly. Everything from the musical numbers to the overall plot of the older version are an exact replica of Disney’s first version of the film.

After making both Cinderella and Maleficent in live action form Beauty and the Beast had high expectations to live up to. From the props to the way the plot flowed, Disney created a perfect adaption to the previous cartoon version.
