The entire Addams Family takes their place on stage. “I had a wonderful performance, playing Lurch, and can’t wait to do it again,” junior Harrison Reed, who played the lengthy zombie butler said.

Imagine this setting, gothic somber moods mixed with puns, quips, and jokes. Prepare to be stunned by the stellar performance of troupe #0817 newest theatrical play, The Addams Family.

At first, that atmosphere sets a chilling mood, as every viewer is awe struck by the props in front of the curtain. However, the tell-tale Adam’s Family theme plays across the auditorium, contrasting the somber tone. Suddenly, the velvet parts and the show begins.

The most stunning piece of the play was the costume design, and the theater crew really outdid themselves. The family, along with their ancestors, were stunning, and I was struck by blinding whites and deep blacks. Member of the show, Stuart Lindquist, thought the show to be unexpectedly perfect, and I would have to agree with him.

As usual, the singing and vocals are superb, and the show’s most appealing attribute. You can just tell the effort these kids put into The Addams family.

To recommend this play is an understatement, I assure any reader of this article to buy a ticket as fast as you can. Great music, funny moments, and wonderful design will make you want to join The Addams Family.
