Water Wars 2017 kicks off

The one and only Water Wars will make its debut appearance April 10 at midnight and conclude April 16 at 11:59:59 pm. And this year spares no expense as seniors, Riley Moran and Paxton Rhoads have planned and added to this senior tradition.

Addressing the difficulty of capturing and eliminating students, via water of course, Moran and Rhoads have decided to create “battlegrounds”. Or places in which some activity, such as capture the flag or water balloon wars, will be held and seniors can gather for some water action.

These events are now taking place to get the senior class up and out into the outside world where they can fully enjoy the experience of being hunted with water guns by their peers.

That’s not all Rhoads and Moran have got in store.

The duo is collecting a dollar for every team member, which due on April 8. And all proceeds will be held till the end when one team is crowned victorious and will be awarded with the collected money.

As Water Wars commences and seniors become bounty hunters with water guns, bounties will be instated. These “bounties” will be seniors on opposite teams who if shot will allow the team who delivered the blow to revive a fallen team member.

Both Rhoads and Moran would also like to emphasize that Water Wars has no affiliation with the school whatsoever and is an event in which seniors gather and participate in but it is not a school event. the school

If seniors have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact Paxton Rhoads and/or Riley Moran at (813)466-8196 and (813)817-3710, respectively. The dollar per teammate is due April 8.

“I hope people get really involved it’s only fun if everybody goes hard the whole time. I feel like our grade is pretty intense and high stressed group of kids if we just channel all our energy into attacking each other with water guns,” Moran said.

And seniors are doing their part to get invested.

“So my sister was a celeb shot last year and all year and all her friends would talk to me about it and how fun it was so it got me really excited. All my friends and I got together and we schemed our bounties and are ready to go on the hunt,” senior Leah Zuberer said.

Zuberer’s teammate senior, Savannah Tindall is also getting preparing for the event.

“I got involved in Water Wars by purchasing guns. My team is coming up with a strategy to be best of the best because we will come out on top, bet,” Tindall said.
