How many years have you done track?

Zoe: Three years.

Skyler: Four years.

What event(s) do you typically run?

Zoe: The 200.

Skyler: The 400 and 4×400 relay.

What event(s) are your favorite?

Zoe: The shot put because it requires little effort, and I like watching the pole vault.

Skyler: The 4×100 because the people who run it are so fast.

What would you say has most prepared you for your position as captain?

Zoe: Watching other leaders in previous seasons in both swimming and track.

Skyler: Being on the team for so long.

What are your duties as captains?

Zoe: Leading warm up and answering questions they think we know the answers to since we’re captains.

Skyler: Lead the team through warm ups, make sure everyone is on task and completing their workouts. Also keeping the team informed about what’s going on.

Are you running track in college? Why or why not?

Zoe: Definitely no. I’m not going to waste my time doing something I don’t love and aren’t amazing at.

Skyler: I’m probably going to because I’ve been running track since like 6th grade and I like it and I couldn’t really imagine not running track.

What do you think you will most miss about high school track?

Zoe: I’ll miss Roy and Carbon.

Skyler: The team and the coaches.

What kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?

Zoe: I hope to know that I have taught girls to respect each other and the coaches.

Skyler: I hope to have taught girls about respect and to gain a love for running.
