Is Star Wars improving?

Star Wars is arguably one of the most prosperous and well known movie franchises ever created, and was bought by Disney a few years back, who have begun to make new films. These new films have created a division within the community: those who enjoy them, and those who think the franchise should not have been carried on. The franchise should be carried on, as making new movies can only work positively for the franchise, and if they turn out badly, they can be forgotten.

There, so far, have been two new movies, Episode VII, or “The Force Awakens”, and an episode, or “Rogue One”, that takes place right before Episode IV. These movies both received very high scores on Rotten Tomatoes. Both of these films had incredible plots, and had major nostalgic scenes, using the same actors from previous movies, and making references to those movies as well. Next Christmas, Episode VIII, also known as “The Last Jedi”, will be released into theaters. Nobody knows how far Disney is going to take these movies, and fans hope they do not end the series in a disappointing way.

These movies caused a lot of controversy among Star Wars fans, as many of them wished the movies would not be messed with, and would be left alone, while others want more action and new movies. The franchise seems to be a major success so far, and hopefully it remains this way. These movies have had major impacts on multiple people’s lives, giving them a reason for not wanting the franchise to be ruined, but adding extra movies can never hurt, as if the movie is not good it can just be forgotten, but if it is a success, it will bring great fame and happiness to fans everywhere.

Adding more movies to the beloved Star Wars franchise was a very smart decision on Disney’s behalf, and Star Wars fans around the world will be looking forward to further movies of this franchise.
