Miguelitos draws rave reviews

Little brother has officially moved into town. Miguel Rodriguez, owner of Miguel’s Mexican Seafood and Grill, opened up a sequel restaurant called Miguelito’s Taqueria y Tequilas. The restaurant serves the same kind of Mexican style cuisine, but it definitely draws in a different crowd.

Miguel’s, located on Kennedy Blvd, has more of an adult crowd coming from all areas of Tampa, but Miguelito’s, also conveniently located on Kennedy Blvd, seems to create a more suitable environment for college students and young adults. The restaurant has the choice of inside or outside patio seating, both of which are accompanied by bar seating.

Miguelito’s offers an array of different options to choose from, having choices like tacos, burritos and bowls. One of the must tries include the Arroz Con Camaron. This appetizer is a mix of rice, creamy cheese sauce, sautéed shrimp and garlic butter sauce. Although the different combination of foods is intimidating, it really is worth getting.

For a filling entree, the steak bowl is an excellent decision. Consisting of beans, corn, cheese and a variety of vegetables, this dish is sure to keep you coming back. Along with many other dishes like the Portobello tacos and the side of street corn, the restaurant has a variety of options to choose from for the whole family.

The scenery is marvelous, inside and out; having comfy, contemporary inside decor and an enchanting nature-like patio. The environment makes the experience all the better and on top of that, the service is excellent.

The overall experience was most welcoming and comfortable, leaving customers with full bellies and smiles on their faces.
